The Academy of Art University was founded in San Francisco, California in 1929, and began their online program in 2002. Classes can be taken on campus and certain degrees are offered fully online, and the school allows a mixture of both for certain degrees.
The degrees offered for online learning are wide and varied, such as Advertising, Architecture, Fashion, Fine Art, Game Design, Graphic Design, Interior Architecture and Design, Motion Picture and Television, and many others.
There are “Art Experience” programs that are designed for high school students to discover the exciting world of art, and “Award of Completion” programs designed for working professionals.
Financial Aid and Tuition
Online Classes are the same price as taking classes at the campus, however, lab fees in many classes are not charged for online classes. The Art Institute does accept the Federal Application For Student Aid, and have knowledgable staff at the ready for all of your college financial needs. Financial aid is only available to students who qualify for financial aid.
